Promoting Spiritual Well-Being
Faith and spirituality can play a powerful role in healing. For clients who desire it, we offer Christian-based counseling that thoughtfully integrates spiritual beliefs with proven clinical approaches. Our founder and lead therapist is an ordained Christian minister who brings both professional training and spiritual insight to this optional care track.
In our faith-based sessions, we blend evidence-informed therapeutic techniques with spiritually grounded practices to help establish a firm foundation for mental, emotional, and relational healing. You are always invited to share how your faith shapes your story, your struggles, and your hopes for change.
Our faith-based curriculum emphasizes seven spiritual principles that support a healthy, meaningful life: patience, faith, love, self-discipline, integrity, self-value, and respect. We view these as practical, everyday tools that can guide how you relate to God, to yourself, and to others. When practiced consistently, they offer spiritual grounding, growth, and personal development that can empower you to lead a healthy, productive life.
Within this approach, you will be invited to:
- Establish spirituality as a foundation – exploring what it means to invite God into your healing process, in a way that aligns with your Christian faith and personal convictions.
- Gain understanding and education – learning about the psychological, physical, and social impact of what you’re facing, whether it involves anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, or other behavioral health challenges.
- Reframe how you make choices – moving from relying solely on your own strength to seeking God’s guidance and will for your life.
Our goal in faith-based counseling is not to replace clinical care with spirituality, but to integrate both—honoring your beliefs while providing professional support. Participation in Christian-based counseling is completely voluntary; LWCCS also offers traditional counseling services for clients who prefer a non-religious approach.
